The program, offered completely in English, trains highly qualified professionals capable of modeling, identifying, designing, and managing equipment and systems for automation.
The educational objectives are characterized by a strong scientific focus, aimed at acquiring extensive and in-depth methodological knowledge in the fields of physics and mathematics, information engineering, and, in particular, automation and control engineering.
This academic pathway equips Master’s graduates with advanced design skills in the most innovative technological sectors and is structured into five curricula:
- Artificial Intelligence
- Robotic Systems
- Industrial Automation
- Systems & Control
- Complex Systems
Graduates of the Master’s Degree in Control Systems Engineering will be able to:
- adapt to rapid technological innovation across the various fields of information engineering;
- interact with other engineering sectors, particularly electrical, mechanical, and process engineering
- conceive, plan, and manage complex and/or innovative processes and services
- use the English language fluently, with particular reference to the specialized terminology of information engineering
Entry requirements
- A minimum three-year undergraduate degree (or equivalent) in Engineering or related fields (e.g. Mathematics, Physics) is required, with adequate background in Systems and Control, Information Engineering, Physics, and Mathematics
- Minimum GPA equivalent to Italian 84/110
Language requirements
- English language: B2 level (CEFR) or equivalent
The typical professional fields include innovation and production development, advanced design, planning and programming, and the management of complex systems, both in freelance practice and in manufacturing or service companies, as well as in public administrations.
Graduates with a Master’s degree will be able to find employment in electronics, electromechanical, chemical, aeronautical and aerospace, and automotive companies, where functions are developed related to the sizing and implementation of complex architectures, automatic systems, processes, and automation plants integrating IT components, measurement devices, transmission systems, and actuation equipment.
Furthermore, the program prepares professionals suited to pursue a career in research, in the public or private sector, both in Italy and abroad.
