MIME is the perfect combination of theoretical fundamentals and advanced technical skills, to face the ambitious challenges of the digital information era.
MIME tackles digital technologies, photonics, multimedia signals and data networks. You will get the competencies required for the analysis, design, implementation and management of complex ICT systems and applications. You will learn to manage data, plan strategies, and perform innovative activities in the broad area of ICT, with specific focus on communication networks and signal processing, but also an underlying awareness of the physical reality that enables such systems to operate and communicate.
The course is completely taught in English and offers several international opportunities.
Students can choose among 5 Educational Pathways:
- Communication Technologies: Explores the core ICT subjects (digital transmission, signal processing, electromagnetism) in full depth.
- Cybersystems: Focuses on networking technologies, encompassing the Internet, its protocols, and theoretical models of networked and wireless systems. It also covers databases and web applications.
- Multimedia: Devoted to the study of multimedia signals and systems, including their transmission over the Internet.
- ICT for Life and Health: Devoted to studying communication technologies and signal-processing tools for the medical field
- Research and Innovation: Designed to provide the student with a solid theoretical background encompassing electromagnetism, signals, wireless/transmission systems, computer vision, learning and optimization theory.
MIME will train you for the analysis, design, planning, and management of complex ICT systems and applications. You will be qualified for challenging technical jobs in manufacturing and service companies, or in the public administrations.
Last, but not at all least, MIME does not undervalue the importance of research: graduates will be able to work for research institutions or the academia
a) have passed an English exam in their bachelor, as per the transcript of records,
b) hold a cerification from an international agency,
c) have attended a bachelor taught in English.
MIME graduates have ICT-specific capabilities as:
ICT system designers; specialists and operators of ICT equipment and systems; researchers in the ICT sector and the next generation Internet; telecommunications networks and complex systems administrators and designers; managers of platforms implementing multimedia services; technical analysts in regulatory bodies for telecommunications.
